Ascentor is a career development platform built around three stages of professional growth: Explorers, Builders and Climbers. Rexta Technologies developed the full-stack platform to combine mentorship, peer circles, live sessions, structured 90-day goals and Sage, an AI career coach designed to remain available throughout the user's journey.

Challenges
Career support platforms often assume a Western professional context that does not always translate to African career journeys.
Ascentor needed to serve people at very different stages of professional development without giving everyone the same experience.
The platform needed to combine human mentorship with an AI layer rather than treating AI as the entire product.
Users needed practical next steps, not another platform full of inspirational career content.
Authentication, mentor discovery, live sessions, peer circles and AI conversations all had to work within one connected product.
Our Approach
We created three distinct user experiences, Explorer, Builder and Climber, giving each career stage its own onboarding direction, content focus and mentor recommendations rather than placing every user in the same journey.
Multiple sign-in options were introduced to reduce onboarding friction so users could access the platform quickly regardless of their preferred account method.
Sage, the platform's AI career coach, was designed as a multi-session experience with the ability to retain context and generate structured 90-day action plans based on each user's individual goals.
Mentor profiles, live session booking and peer accountability circles were integrated so users had both human and AI support available within the same product.
Results
Ascentor launched with all three user tiers active.
Social authentication was implemented across multiple providers.
Sage was available from launch to provide personalised career guidance.
The platform combines AI coaching, expert mentorship and peer accountability within one product.
Ascentor is live and serves users across Nigeria, Ghana and Kenya.
